Terms of Service
Last updated: February 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using GitLogPretty ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
GitLogPretty generates customer-friendly changelogs from Git commit history using AI. The Service requires a GitHub account for authentication and accesses repository data on your behalf.
3. Accounts
- You must sign in with a valid GitHub account
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- You must not share your session or use the Service on behalf of unauthorized third parties
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process repositories you do not have permission to access
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limits
- Use automated tools to excessively call the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
5. Plans and Billing
- Free plan: 3 changelogs per month, public repositories only
- Pro plan: Unlimited changelogs, private and public repositories, billed monthly
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@gitlogpretty.com.
6. Intellectual Property
- Changelogs generated by the Service are yours to use as you see fit
- The Service itself, its design, and underlying code are the property of GitLogPretty
- You retain all rights to your repository data — we claim no ownership of your code or commits
7. AI-Generated Content
Changelogs are generated by AI (Anthropic Claude) and may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing generated content before publishing. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated changelog.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GitLogPretty shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party APIs (GitHub, Anthropic, Stripe) which may experience their own outages.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@gitlogpretty.com.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
